On April 6, 1922 Albert Einstein detonated a historical debate in Paris thanks to an unusual phrase: "The time of the philosophers does not exist." Among the public was the philosopher Henri Bergson, who had approached ideas about time in some of his books, such as  Creative Evolution  and  Matter and Memory . Bergson would not forgive Einstein for the comment and in the next few years he would become one of his worst enemies.
